Description:
Sunday 27th September
11am – 1:3-0pm
£45 per person
In this workshop you will be introduction to Cyanotype printing, with some background to the history and processes (health and safety)- mixing the chemicals before coating a range of papers and exposing to sunlight (UVL).
We will use a range of natural forms -feathers, translucent petals, leaves and seed heads to place onto the dry coated papers; holding them in place with glass whilst exposing to light.
A solid object will give a solid white area, whereas seeds and leaves can give you a range of light to dark blues. Watching the papers change from greens to indigo blue is wonderous, making a fun and creative way to produce a negative style print. You will use both natural and manmade materials and objects.
These can be made into cards and pictures.
